pattern perception




the pattern i designed( the second image) was inspired by a traditional victorian seamless pattern. in my pattern i took an image of the urban landscape and flipped the image on the horizon and then vertically flipped the image on each row.

the xy generation

the x generation aka "the baby bust generation" or "the 13th generation"
people in this group:

the y generation or "the millannials"
are a cohort or group of people born after the x generation.
-born between 1974-1980
-more experience of family break down
-high divorce rates
-tech savvy
-instant gratification in the work field
-casual
-masters of multitasking
repurposing former industrial buildings

repurposing abandoned industrial buildings into urban housing has become increasingly popular over the years not only because of its affordability, but also because of the potential that these abandoned buildings have to become so much more. repurposing buildings allows us to preserve historic sites, create housing for people and minimize the amount of waste we would make if we were building a house from scratch.
