wood project comment

when we started this project i was kind of worried because i had never been in a wood shop before. i knew that i wanted my project to be usable after it was done so i came up with a small simple shelf/ divider so that i can keep my desk organized. i think that i did pretty well for my first time in the wood shop and i ended up with something i wanted. i tried doing the project a second time and completely messed it up so i ended up using the first one as my final project.

Japanese houses have thin walls because of the mild climate and overlapping, slanted, and slightly curved roofs because of the fact that there is plenty of rain especially during early summer. Timber is the traditional building material for Japanese houses. It makes them airy which is important during the humid summer months. The disadvantages are that the houses can be damaged easily by earthquakes and fires. Today, concrete and steel are, of course, widely used as well. the interiors are usually simple and use eath tone colors to give the inside a warm and welcoming feeling.

In the late 19th century, Ponce developed its own blend of Spanish Creole and neoclassical architecture called Ponce Creole. It is characterized by the use of Corinthian columns, wrought-iron balconies, stucco siding, arched entrances, and gas lamps. It was named Creole because it reminded some of New Orleans's French Quarter. The wealth from Ponce's sugarcane industry financed most of the elegantly ornamented buildings. this syle can also be seen in other South American countries. the style of architecture is also visible in some of our states such as Florida, Texas, and California.

There were several parts to a typical Roman bathing complex:

* Apodyterium – dressing room, where the bather’s clothing was stored in cabinets and guarded by a slave
* Palaestra – an outdoor courtyard where the bather exercised, swam, or played games
* Tepidarium – a warm pool
* Caldarium – a hot pool, similar to a modern sauna
* Frigidarium – a cold pool

The Indonesian architecture is is reflection of the diversity that has changed the country.The cultural changes that affected the architecture and style of Indonesia was brought about by invaders, merchants, and traders that came to Indonesia. The traditional architecture is significantly influenced by the Chinese and Arabian architecture.
Indonesian inspired homes incorporate a lot of wood on furniture and the houses with beautiful intricate designs. ceramics and altar pieces are Chinese inspired and embellished in different jewels. fabrics carpets and other interior artifact are full f color making rooms vibrant and exciting. purple is one of the colors that is used often in furnishing. in this country the style is quite different from ours because less isn't more, more is more.
